Learning@Schools Conference

Go to the page for study tour participants to collaborate on conference proposals
Attend and present at the Learning@Schools Conference, one of the largest education conferences in Australasia. Very much a teachers-for-teachers conference, this is an occasion for teachers, school leaders and education researchers, from pre-school to higher education, to share innovative and high quality practice in teaching and learning with and through technology at the beginning of the school year (remember, the seasons are different in the southern hemisphere!). Tour participants are strongly encouraged by the conference organizers to submit a proposal to present at the conference, and we anticipate that pariticipants might want to assemble group panel presentations.

School/University visits

Visit a range of early childhood centres, schools and university departments selected by for their innovative practice. Gain first hand knowledge of school applications of educational technology and related professional development methods. Travel with others from SIGTE to learn from the unique New Zealand experience in using ICT for teaching and learning, the professional learning of teachers and teacher educators, and teacher action research. CORE Education, New Zealand's leading research and education organisation for the promotion of technologies for learning, will lead this portion of the tour.

Auckland: Enjoy a cruise on the harbour, or visit the city's aquarium, or the Auckland Museum and Art Gallery. For adventure, try bungy jumping off the Sky Tower.
